Hop On the Magic Space Bus

Frank and Tim grab a couple of citrus wheat ales and head to the theater for Supergirl, the DCU's next step after Superman. The verdict: liked it, didn't love it — an earnest, surprisingly un-cynical B-movie with a great cast, gorgeous practical aliens, and a message clearly aimed at kids it's frankly too dark to show them. Along the way: the Casablanca clue, Lobo done right, and a genuinely unhinged detour into Augustine vs. Aquinas. Cheers!
